For example:

blog.buildandshine.com

In this example, ‘blog’ is the subdomain, ‘buildandshine’ is the main domain and ‘.com’ is the top-level domain (TLD).

You can use any text or name as your subdomain, but you want to ensure it’s easy to type and recognize.

how to Create a subdomain in hostinger

If you buy the Single Shared Hosting plan from Hostinger then that allows you to only create 2 subdomains. But if you buy Premium or Business Hosting Plans then you can add 100 subdomains to your website.

Login into your Hostinger hPanel

Log into your HPanel by entering your username and password.

Go to Hosting and click Manage

After logging in click on Hosting from Menu Bar. A list of your Hosting will show click Manage in front of your domain name.

Find for Subdomains

Under the domain section, you can find subdomains. Simply click on that.

Now you need to enter your subdomain name it can be any text or name like a blog, course, or anything related to your niche, according to your requirements.

After then click on Create.

You can look at the list of subdomains you have created on your hosting. You can delete your subdomain. You can see the root directory of your subdomain. That displays your subdomain is stored in a separate directory and you can easily manage them.

How to Install WordPress on a Subdomain

After creating a subdomain, Now you need to install WordPress on it.

Go to the website tab and click on the Auto Installer option.

As soon as you follow that Auto Installer section, you will see a popup, where you need to choose one platform for your subdomain.

So definitely you will choose WordPress for creating a website on your subdomain.

After selecting WordPress, you also need to select which domain or subdomain you need to install it.

As you will be able to see a dropdown, then you will see your subdomain, which you have recently built.

Now you need to choose that subdomain, as you can see in the image given below. For example in my case, I have to go with blog.buildandshine.com.

Create WordPress login details

Now comes how you log in to your subdomain.

I’m pretty much sure you have created your WordPress login. So that you can access your dashboard with your subdomain by entering these detail.

You need to create your username, password, WordPress website title, languages, etc.

You can access your website dashboard by entering the /wp-admin after your domain name URL.
