What is CTR?

CTR stands for the click-through rate or in other terms, the percentage of ads clicked based on their total number of impressions.

The Formula for Calculating CTR: No of clicks on advertisement and number of page views.

  • CTR = Number of clicks / Total number of Ads impressions.
  • CTR% = Number of clicks * 100 / Total number of impressions

Google Adsense is owned by Google. Google Adsense was started in 2003 by Google. Which is one of the most highly used ad networks on the internet.

As your website is approved with Google Adsense, you can earn money by just placing Ads on your webpage.

Google Adsense pays money to publishers in two methods.

  • Ads impressions
  • Ads clicks

Lets assume, You have an ad running on your website and it has 100 visitor per day and you get only 10 clicks, then your CTR is 10%.

As I mentioned above the formula of calculating the CTR = (Total number of clicks on Ads/total number of page views)*100

Page CTR=(10/100) *100= 10%

The main point to be noted here is that the higher percentage of CTR, the better ads you will get.
